SugarMegs has an open irc chat. Point an irc client...mac...windows... at harpua.etree.org and /join #sugarmegs. Peter (datsit) and Pete (other1) hang out there as well as administrators for the mailing list and mirror sites. Please note that this is not networked to any other servers, and that only channel #sugarmegs and #etree is allowed. Come on in spew your thoughts.
Uploaders and mirror sites still have access to SugarMegs ftp as well as all mirror sites.
Look in the Sugarmegs text listings and make requests from the mirror site operators.
SugarMegs is a community project. This in mind a few kind pholks from the irc chat are pitching in to administer the SugarMegs mailing list (me) move the files around (Scaptain) , administer the mirror list (chastewk has weeded it out) and look after SugarMegs DNS (Victor).
